2008 NLIT Summit
The 2008 National Laboratories Information Technology (NLIT) Summit brings together representatives from across the US Department of Energy (DOE) complex to facilitate an exchange of information technology (IT) best practices and ideas. This information exchange helps strengthen the IT infrastructure and provides cost efficiencies across the DOE National Laboratories by preventing the reinvention of solutions to similar problems.
As in years past, the 2008 NLIT Summit will consist of presentations, panel discussions, new equipment and technology demonstrations, and information sharing on topics applicable to all DOE National Laboratories.
Sharing of new technologies across multiple IT disciplines fosters relationships that will be key in future research and application development. The success of the DOE mission relies on the ability to conduct research, share data, and collaborate with personnel from other laboratories.
This year's summit is hosted by Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory at the Hyatt-Regency Chicago on The River Walk.
